Our Waist & Shoulder Pack

So. Another rump bag? Fanny fiddle? Bun basket?

Actually, we got nothing but great admiration for the fanny pack (not to mention our admiration for its namesake!). We've used our waist pack for skiing. For hiking. For penetrating the St. Patrick's Day parade in Chicago.

But we came up with this very simple, and elegant, idea for an improvement.

Like most good ideas, the improvement is so obvious that - once you see it - you wonder why everyone else didn't think of it first! Ws a supple strap across the inside of the fanny pack. You slide the waist belt through one loop on the back Of the waist - and - voila - you've got the most convenient shoulder pack imaginable. Slide it through the other loop and you've got a clutch bag.

A truly convertible bag! Hiking in the Porkies. Or hiking up Michigan Avenue.

And we didn't stop with the basic good idea We added an eyeglass case. Pretty elementary, you might say, but our customers with sunglasses love it! It has saved many people $40 or $80 - when they might have otherwise left their Vaurnets sitting on the shelf under the boathouse mirror.

Our fanny pack comes not only with a magnetic-latch eyeglass pouch, but also a zippered money (or credit card) slot, in addition to the zippered main compartment. This is a serious butt bag. That you can wear on your shoulder. And you can look - I mean seriously - you can look good. (I mean, you can hardly look bad, with this bag on your bu... - shoulder.)
