Most Horn Bags available today are square little bags
attached with a short piece of material to fit over the horn of a
Western Saddle. They sit on top of the pommel, around the horn - right
in the way of your hands while you're riding.
We have designed our hand-crafted leather Horn Bags with a unique,
sleek shape that fits in front of your saddle. The double leather strap
we use to connect the two bags is made longer with a curved shape built
in to allow the bag to fit over the horn and sit lower on the pommel.
This design feature keeps the bag from interfering with your
communication thru your hands and reins while riding, yet it keeps the
bags close enough for easy access while you're in the saddle.
Our hand-crafted leather Horn Bags are designed to fit any Western
Saddle. They are made of a premium, aniline-dyed cowhide. This fine
leather is dyed all the way through [drum dyed], so that even deep
scratches will blend in with a little saddle oil. It will look great and
provide years of service. These bags feature YKK nylon zippers and solid
brass dee-rings, with leather ties to attach the Horn Bags securely to
the front of your saddle.
