EurotravellerWe were tempted to call this our "Terrorist Bag". The first one we made was bought by a very plain-looking fellow who visited us at a craft show. He had a Blaupunkt portable short-wave radio in one hand and a small cassette tape machine in the other. What he was going to buy - he said - was the toughest compact travel case he could find. But it had to hold these two machines. After several hours at the other booths, he came back and bought our Eurotraveller. Several months later, he called and asked if he could get six more - real fast - and a couple of bigger bags. What in the world -we asked -what in the world was he doing with these? Turns out this very plain-looking fellow is one of the world's top security experts. Events rile up and airlines start hiring him to check up on their security. Among other things, he sends bags through their x-ray machines to see what happens. He has tried every other bag made and gets tired of them falling apart after a couple hundred passes. So he's very pleased with our rugged Eurotraveller. It leaves the x-ray machines panting for mercyl Actually, the Eurotraveller is much more peaceful. For starters, we took our popular Ellis European day-pack. Then we pancaked a second compartment on the top, added an external eyeglass pouch and zippered pocket, put a full-sized open pocket on the back - big enough for our 8" x 5" Planning Diary - and added a good-looking, adjustable shoulder strap. It won't get past many inspectors. They all like to take a look at it. #2560 - Eurotraveller
